Mission statements focus the brand on what really matters–to itself as well as to its stakeholders. An effective mission statement describes the brand’s fundamental, unique purpose. An important part of this description indicates how a brand is unique in its scope of operations and its product or service offerings. This proclamation indicates what the brand intends to accomplish, identifies the market(s) in which the brand intends to operate, and reflects the philosophical premises that are to guide brand actions.
